A few years ago I lost a male to mbd and now my male has it. Rather quickly he went from being very active to unable to walk. Over the past few days he has gotten much worse and can barley move. When I do move him to try to feed him he shakes and has a hard time breathing. Despite treatment he is only getting worse. I was wondering if it happens more in males than females. I have three females and they are all kept in the same type of cage with the same lighting(mercury vapor bulb) and they all eat the same food with the same amount of vitamins or calcium. Yet all of my females are completely healthy with no problems. I can't figure out why this is happening. Also I have had him for a little over a year and a half, and I haven't changed anything about the way I take care of him. Would mbd take this long to show up or can it possibly something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
