Hi there: Thank you for having the forethought to ask and openness to learn from others. I had not the luxury of the internet or even a car at the time I raised a pair which then laid over several cluthces some 700 eggs. I thought how great it would be to have a mixture of animals and of course pet stores said great. Now, everyone's going to cringe...I had the pair with a red eye, an Anole, fish, even a crab! Never would I do it again now that I know from these forums all the problems that could have come of it. But..in my limited experience..for some reason, nothing bad ever happened. It doesn't mean that the advise of not mixing is unfounded, just that I got lucky enough that everything turned out Ok and I had 700 babies still. Hey, keep posting your Q's. It shows you are responsible and a concerned animal keeper. I too was blasted once for asking too many Q's. Better that we ask instead of the animals suffering, right?
