I'm thinking back to a single picture of a beautiful pictiventris in my "Snakes of Florida" book by Alan Tennant. The pictiventris shown is flipped on its back and its belly has large distinct checkers as opposed to the "wormy" markings. I'll check the book when I'm not running crazy and get back to you.
