Posted by: MontyPython03 at Thu Jun 19 16:41:22 2003 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by MontyPython03 ] So i take my bp to the vet yesterday to get him checked out, he was havin bubbles around the mouth and such. The vet also told me that he has low muscle tone, is gassy, and very underweight for his size. They did a fecal smear and found that he has no parasites, but lots of bacteria. He's also got lots of mucus around the inside of his mouth, which may be preventing him from flicking out his tongue. They gave him some Ceftazidime for the bacteria, some oral worming, just in case there were some parasites in there, and told me to call the pet store i bought him from to let them know. So the pet store is called, and they tell me that the batch that my bp was in was taken back by the breeder! So the pet store knowling sold me a sick bp to make money? The warranty agreement i signed with the pet store said that i was getting a "healthy and free of illness" animal. Could having him in my house caused his sickness or was he sick when i bought him? The pet store offered us to trade in our snake for a yearling bp, this is right after we just spent $95 at the vet. My girlfriend wants to keep him, but i don't want a snake that is going to die, i want a healthy one. siiigh. Sorry if this sounds like rambling, i am just upset that i think the pet store knowingly sold me a sick snake. Thanks for listening, any ideas would be great. | ||
