Well i think youre confusing them into one. Boas display both yellow AND red pigment. This is why an anerythristic albino (snow) boa will become yellow with age.
There very well could be (though there isnt at this point) an Axanthic boa. Yeloow pigment is developed later in life, again this is why snows, anerys, and ghosts eventually yellow up.
Yellow and red are differnt primary colors in the boas pallate.
If they were the same, then snows wouldnt yellow up, and any high pink animal would have to be at the same time a high yellow. Wich isnt always the case. -----
