I'm not a breeder, just been keeping snakes for 20 years. I'm really into the idea of trying my hand at it and recently bought a pair of pastels with the intention of breeding them. They will be ready next season. My question is, is there a specific type of caging that is necessary for successful breeding? I house all my snakes in Sterilite boxes and heated by heating pads. The temps are monitored by little ZooMed stick on thermometers. I really don't monitor the humidity but there's always some condensation on the sides and they're very healthy and happy so I don't worry about it. I've used this method for like 10 years since I stopped using glass aquariums and never had any problems for basic housing. I see pics of breeders in rack systems under similar housing conditions. I'm just hoping someone can tell me what the proper housing techniques and conditions would be to ensure a good chance at successful breeding. Like I said I've never done it before but I'm sure I can, just need a little advice and I'm sure this is the place to find it. Especially with all these amazing animals being born this season. I really appreciate any comments and help. Thanks alot in advance. Ryan.
