Hello folks, I've been hanging out on the kingsnake forum and field notes forum a little lately but this is my first time here. I only have a WC cal king right now but I used to have a BCI that I raised from a baby until she was too big for my closet. I had hoped to have a bigger place by the time she reached that size and my roomates weren't cool with having it cruising around the house, so I gave her away to a good home where she has her own room.

I'm considering another boa but a smaller one this time, for a different reason than before, now I have back problems so I shouldn't get a heavy snake that I might have trouble lifting. I like the good calm temperment of BCI and fairly low maintenance. What medium size boas share the positive attributes of BCIs? BRBs sound interesting, certainly beautiful, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the high humidity requirements. I'd like to learn more about the size/weight, docility, and ease of keeping of Dumerils, Hog Island, or others. Any info/advice appreciated.
