Certainly nothing wrong with Dumeril's. I just happen to think Hog's are preetier...I'm sure some others would disagree. It all depends on what you like.
In the wild, Hog's only grow 4-6 feet. But on a diet of fattening lab rats, they can can 7 ft or more in captivity. My advise would be not to feed them like you were feeding a mainland locality BCI. Less frequency, and smaller meals.

P.s. If you haven't looked at PMHerps Hog's, you should, they're killer! Also, though it's everyone's personal preference, pure Hog's are much nicer than crosses, IMHO...not to menchen there is no fresh genetic material being imported for Hog's Island localities...so crossing and inbreeding takes away opportunities to see pure ones many years from now....but that's just my two cents...go with your gut. ----- www.chrisolsonreptiles.com
