..but Hoggs & Nics ARE BCI...they're just BCI from a specific geographic range or locale. Also, you're right...don't get a rainbow boa if you don't want to deal with humidity issues.

I think that temperament of hogs or nics varies. I have 4 baby nics that are super friendly and never strike. I also have 3 hogs, and 2 are also friendly but one is the devil and has multiple personality issues (I can hold that sometimes one but I do not trust her since she has mood swings). LOL.

Therefore, from my minimal experience with 7 hoggs/nics...only the 1 will bite 50% of the time. I think you can generalize a nasty temperament to only a handful of snake species, and I don't think hogs or nics fit into that generalization.
