I would give him one more year. I think males should be over 5' long before breeding.

My male Guyana sure did try this year to breed but it looks like none of my female took this year. Well there is always next year.

I only have one Suriname right now, I am still looking for the perfect male for my female. My 9' BCI should have her babies in mid July.
