She had somewhat of a rough start but is doing much better. When I first got her, she must have been harboring mite eggs b/c she was covered in them shortly after and I simply could not explain any other possibitly for how she got them. It was my 1st (and hopefully last) exp with mites in 10years of keeping herps. I treated many months ago her successfully and no mites were observed on my other snakes. It really pays to have strict quarantine procedures with new arrivals.

She'll eat f/t small mice or rat pups BUT seems to digest the mice better. Whenever I fed her rat pups, her stool was runny. Someone on this forum once commented how mouse hair may have more helpful proteins/enzymes for a developing boa's digestive tract (I think?). Maybe its true.?

I came close to trading her but just before I made up my mind, she shed and her color was mindblowing, especially the development of more pink. The male is nice too but I simply cannot get his color to show accurately in any pics...Its so hard with this species. I just can't figure out how to successfully photograph them.

Thanks again for the nice comment.

Jason
