The only animal I can think of that might fit that description is a really low-contrast Argentine...which would not be an Imperator. They are known as Boa c. Occidentalis. If it was an Imperator, it would have to be an extremely melanistic (unusually high concentrates of black pigment) Mexican locality. Good luck with your search.
