Just hope you never have to force feed or assist feed...it really is time consuming.

I had a beautiful pair of grey banded kings awhile back and the male was a problem feeder (which is notorious for that species). Anyway, I tried everything and nothing worked. I gave up and sold them to a very nice person willing to devote more time to the cause (I kept in touch and they're now feeding voluntarily). I was unable to enjoy the rest of my collection b/c of the amount of time spent force feeding the male gbk. My bloodred corn and candoia (also both well-known prob.feeders) were also nonfeeders for awhile but now they both take f/t pinkies easily now. I have 1 of 3 '04 fh bps that is currently a problem but I think its a matter of patience since the other 2 are now eating great and have doubled her in size.

I have tried every darn trick in the book with nonfeeders and it always comes down to assist-feeding, which I now have down to a science with little stress on a snake. I NEVER ever got anoles or other scenting tricks to work for me. I cannot complain about the nics though b/c you're certainly right, its better to have them eating something voluntarily than nothing at all. Its just a shame b/c I don't like to support the deplorable local pet store by buying live mice from them once a week.

Sincerely,
Jason
