Considering a Hogg....

I've been reading up on Hoggs, but have a few unanswered questions. I've fallen in love with these guys, but I've only seen pictures and can't seem to get a good idea of how big/thick they get. I would love a male hogg, but can someone give me an idea of the girth on an adult male?

What size prey and how often would an adult male eat?

Finally, would a cage that is 48x24x12 be good (if not what would you recommend)?
