It will be tough to show enough proof that the animal did not come into contact with anything in your personal collection thus possibly being infected that way (and that is even if the animal does have IBD). I personally doubt that any compensation will be given even though imo it should be. 4 months is quite awhile to have an issue arrise in and try to get a refund of any sort.

I would remain keeping him in isolation and also check with your local vets to see if they have the capability to do a biopsy on your boas liver. (they can do a test on live boas looking for IBD) even though it could be costly it would be nice to know for sure if that is the case with your boa. Also if the test came back positive you would have a vets diagnosis showing what the illness is that you can approach the seller with.
