I was always under the impression that dumeril's boas range from 5-7ft. As for BCI, their size varies from 4ft to 7 or 8ft depending on where and who they're from. Island BCI, such as Hogs, tend to be smaller.
I try to always go by a general rule and that is: buy from a reputable breeder who can show you the parents of any potential snake you may purchase. Its easy to generalize but all animals vary a great deal in relative size, weight, length, etc. Therefore, what better way to judge than seeing the parentage firsthand. I don't think you can go wrong this way. Just my thoughts. ----- Sincerely,
