Well weight wise we didnt breed the females early, unfortunetly the person who we purchased them from wasnt at all honest with us about there ages, we were told that all 6 the "100% hets" which we purchased were 3 years old and virgins. After looking at two of the girls it was easy to tell that they couldnt be more that about 5.5 feet and were maybe 2 years in age. Those two we held back for another season just to make sure, but the other four we felt were fully mature to the point of sexual readyness, and upon indroduction of the male they all breed him, but being our first season we were unsure as to how long we should leave the male in with each of the females and in my opinion we pulled him toearly to have completely fertilized our girls. we have two desent size clutches of 16 slugs and stills and then two very small clutchs where i would say it was our fault for not leaving the male in long enough with the females. our first girl gave us 5 lives and like 17 slugs (classic trait of to short mate time) and this last female dropped 10 live and 10 slug. We thought they were little litters but after watching Ihle's video he says that for virgins he always expects 24 of something (slugs, stills, and lives) which we came close to on all our females. This is our first season with the boas and i think that we did okay with them for this year but we learn alot more than we could have by experiancing by just watching the movies and getting comments... It was an intresting first year and i am hoping that we learned something important for next year. Oh by the way.. Not a single one of the "100% hets" have proven out yet, two more for next season but.. im not expecting anything more than some beautiful 100% babies... I hate getting hosed on a deal.. Hope this answered some questions for you and thanks for showing an intrest...

Sincerely,

Rose Hipksind
