Blotchy skin on Red Eye TF. Normal?

Just got a retf a few weeks ago. The last few days his green color has become kind of blotchy with darker patches. Is this normal? Could it be temp related? I have him in an area around 70-75 right now. I can move him to a warmer area if need be. I only use spring water with him. Any info appreciated,
