Wow! They are really neat! I was treated to some hissing and a little neck flattening from the little male last night- what a poser! Puts my Carpet Python to shame and she's 6.5 feet. I understand why they get whacked when they're encountered by non-snake appreciating people because they look venomous (well, untill you see that nose) and act deadly. I expected the show and was still taken aback. I'm patiently waiting for my other half to get home next week with my (excuse me) our digital camera so I can post some pics of them. The female looks about 32-36 inches and the male might be 24 inches. I'm having a terrible time leaving them alone so they can settle in, because I just can't stop looking at them. I'm really curious about watching them feed, with those big, toady mouths. I'm hooked on these little snakes.
