I t sounds like a Jungle Carpet Python...

If I'm correct the males get to around 5ft and the females get to 6ft maybe 7, but not likely so you should be fine! They are great snakes to keep. Depending on the price though you might be more happy buying one from a breeder rather than a pet store. Check out the link below. Will L. produces the best looking Jungles I've seen. And if your going to invest in a snake you should get a great looking one, right. Plus you can be 100% sure that it is full blooded JCP.
