Jungle, Irian Jaya, Coastal (3 most popular ones) are all different subspecies. colour, pattern, and size are different throughout..



the only subspecies that wont get over 5-6 feet is the Irian Jaya... Jungles generally range from 6-8 or so.. females get larger (so people say)... ummm... and the one you saw in the store sounds like a jungle to me. probably labeled correctly. make sure it's healthy.. no mites, respiratory infections, etc
