All you can do really is not to do business with anyone you feel is trying to scam you, I had a scam go down about 6 years ago, I ended up winning the law suit and he had to pay the money he scamed me for plus interest, the only fall back isTHERE IS NO LAW FORCING HIM TO PAY. I never recieved a penny nor do I axpect to, the only thing that happened to him was it went on his credit report that he has a judgement against him,, big freaking deal. he still has the money.
The only way the courts would even consider him as a criminal would be if I NOT THE POLICE BUT I prove he had intenet to scam me from day one, even though I had proof of him scamming SEVERAL OTHERS THE SAME WAY, the courts considered him harmless and gave me the ruling, but being that I won the case , I still lost over $7,000.
All we can do to protect ourselves is to continue to warn others and go by our gut instinct and a little bit of common sense. We are all in this business to make money and even though everyone of us is a competitor to each other we owe it to the business and each other to watch our backs.
Thank you for posting this interesting attempt to do business with a "business ass ociate"
I will deffinately keep my ears and eyes open and as always will be willing to share any information that may save someone a lot of grief.
Bravo!
