We're calling him a reverse stripe for now, though I agree he looks a good deal like the tigers. The sire is the genetic carrier, proved out by being bred to two different normal females and produced two separate litters of aberrant babies, even though he appears normal. I forget the ratio of aberrant versus normal babies in the first litter my friend produced in 2000, but out of thirteen in my litter this year, eight are aberrant patterns or partial stripes. Needless to say, we can hardly wait for these guys to mature and see if we produce supers. The waiting is probably the worst part of every project.
