Greetings!
What I've found to be best is any rubbermaid or sterilite container with a snap down lid (worse case scenario, you can still put a brick on top as I do with some of mine).
You'll need to drill holes along the sides and test out the humidity level as these are great at holding humidity (don't want it too high for your boa) and also, I drill holes in the lid most of the time as I've found the sides don't do it enough (but that also depends on the size of holes you drill).
For a neonate up through a 4' boa, you can house them in a sterilite that is 30" (I have one that's 18" high, 30" long and I believe somewhere around 23" deep). That's HUGE for a baby so it's best to start out with a sweater box size one first (even that will look massive for a wee baby boa.
Snakes do not like oversized enclosures or you must be prepared to fill it with a lot of hides, real/fake fauna and substrate so it can hide and feel secure rather than feeling left out in an open area (that spells danger in their minds).
Most rack systems can house boas up to 4' in a sweater box sized bin so you can just go that route. My 5' male argentine lives in the huge one I described. :D
There are so many types out there, but the sweater box is really the best way to go but ONLY up to a 4' boa or they will be cramped. (I personally think even 4' is pushing it but maybe I give them too much space). hehe ;D
Hugs! Hope I've helped in all my rambling,
Amanda Rose
