The cage setup sounds fine, but the 65 watt spot bulb is a bit much. I think you'll notice that the temperature directly beneath a 65 watt spot bulb is going to be a lot warmer than 83 degrees...that is, if you're measuring it accurately (with a temp gun).
Gargoyles really don't need anything under 80 and anything much warmer than that can be detrimental to their health, so if I were you, I'd just use a 25 watt bulb and only during the day.
I use 25 and 40 watt bulbs for my Green Tree Python cages to get a basking spot of 86-88 degrees...and that's in my basement, where it's never more than 75 degrees.
Also, two nest boxes is unnecessary, but other than making it tougher to find eggs, it won't hurt anything. ----- ----------------------------------
