Many states are adopting exotic ownership control and bans. Its done under the guise, "protection of native specie". While real issues that effect native populations like overpopulation(humans), urban sprall, habitat loss- go completely ignored. Anyone that reads their state laws can see that there are already laws against release of non-native exotics. So why the redundance? Well, putting into law, bans on the smallest percentage of exotic animal owners is only the tip of the iceberg- we are currently easy targets with no way to defend themselves. Know your enemies: HSUS, FWP, Audoban(the bird protecters, spelled badly), and the Wlidlfe Federation. Do we have a bottomless pit of money- for lobbyists, caller lists- to make issues seem very important with a barrage of concerned citizens, and time- we all have 60-80 hour a week jobs. We sure don't. Not to mention these agencies will prey on fears of our representitives with emotional appeals, lies, and long gone health concerns. We all need to start taking more aggressive proactive actions agaist these institutions. This is becoming madness... anti-activist activists? What a mess.
