I can't speak much for the pythons, but as for the boas, your odds of getting a big one are very good. Females are generally larger than males, and for Colombian BCI, females average in the 7-9 foot range. Keep in mind that the Colombian BCI are the giants of the BCI. Most others will stay smaller. BCC generally reach a larger size, but are often slower to reach that size than BCI. Also, BCC require much more stringent habitat control--ie. temp., humidity, etc. An adult female Colomobian BCI will reach the girth of a 2-liter soda bottle at the max.
