Seperate the two. No excuses. Burmese pythons and Red Tailed boas are two COMPLETELY different types of snakes and even if they get along, housing them together can bring a ton of problems. Seems like it might already be happening... The burm will *very* quickly out-grow the red tail and could seriously harm it.



The red tail throwing up could be a sign of internal parasites. They have bugs in their stomach/intestine so they cannot digest the food hence throwing it up. Bring both of them to the vet and get a fecal exam done of them both. If it is internal parasites, there are several different easy treatments which your vet can presribe to you. Left untreated, it will eventually kill your snakes as they cannot get any food digested.



If the red tail does indeed have internal parasites, your burm will most likely have it now too sine you've housed them together.



First get the internal parasites, if that is what it is, taken care of then worry about the feeding.



About the feeding. The burm might not be eating because it is way too stressed out, which can be caused by living with another snake. Or, something in the enviornment isn't correct (check your temps and humidity, make sure you have two or more hide boxes and fresh water available at *all times* Search online for a care sheet regarding both types of snakes)



Once the problem of parasites (if that is what it is) is fixed and they are each housed seperatly with proper cages.. and the burm still isn't eating. Try live, pre-killed and frozen mice of all different sizes and colors (yes, different sizes). Try at different times of the day. But NEVER leave a live mouse in the cage.
