HELP! SOFT SHELL LEOPARD TORTOISE

Please help me. I have a pair of young appx.6-9 months leopard torts. They both are active and eat fine. I feed them a steady diet of organic spring mix, dandelion greens, and ecotherm grassland hay mix. They also have a calcium block in their cage and i sprinkle repto-cal on their greens once a week. The problem is one of the torts seems to have a soft shell. The top seems hard but the sides are soft. The underside is very soft. I am only applying minimal pressure when I say this. The other one doesn't have this problem at all the shell seems firm all around.

Is there anything i can do. Is this normal in some juvy torts and will go away with time. Please help. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again, K Heyden



P.S. I have a fluro. vita light in the cage and ceramic heater.

Temp varies from 75-80 to 85-90 day and 70-80 P.M.
