i havent given them UV in the past for the reason they are nocturnal, plus the UV bulbs cost like $20 minimum. at the beginning of the year i decided to try using UV on my satanics and spinies. surprisingly, at first my spinies did not hide during the day. they would actually perch on the branches and sit in direct light all day. i have not noticed anything different from using UV though, cept it really pisses me off when someone breaks one of the bulbs.
