Some of my BPs did not care if it was heated or not. I'd thaw it out and throw it in the cage - gone in the morning. My chondros will not touch it unless it's warm. To do this, I put the rat in a large bowl (metal). Then I put another bowl on top of that and add hot water. This transfers the heat from the metal bowl to the rat without getting wet. Often, I have to wiggle warm rodents in front of them. I also try to feed in the evening at about dusk. | ||
