Soaking wont hurt, but just making sure the humidity is around 60-70% without being wet will help its repiratory system. Remember that warm water to us is pretty hot for a reptile. Also, make sure it has clean fresh water available at all times, and the less you handle it the less stress it will have and the quicker it will heal.
