Incubation problem with cresties....

Hi, well a friend of mine that works at the reptile shop by me is having problems hatching out his crested eggs, and I would like to help him a little bit, what do you think the problem is, he has 1 in side of a shoe box with a bunch of other snakes eggs N things, in a melamine rack, and he also has a clutch inside a little critter keeper with moist vermiculite, the things with the wholes in the sides and along the top, he has moist vermiculite in it. Thank you for any help
