Jaguar clutch disaster

Only one normal looking baby survived from 9 fertile eggs, 3 eggs died during the latter stages of incubation and the other 5 babies were severely deformed. There were 3 jaguars and 3 normal babies from the 6 eggs. Other clutches of eggs hatched at the same time without problems so I do not believe it was an incubation problem.

I have a clutch of 17 eggs due to hatch on the 1st of July from a jungle carpet female mated by a jaguar male, so far all 17 eggs look good.
