I have had a few that could be handled with little fear (notice I didn't say no fear! haha!) of getting nailed but most were unpredictable if not downright aggressive. I typically "handle" my ATB's with a 2 foot or so length of wood doweling or a 1x2 when doing cage cleanings, etc. The things that make up for that attitude are their gorgeous colors, hardiness (once acclimated/started) relative ease of breeding and modest size.
