At any rate, to maximize a temp gradient use the UTH at only one end, maybe put a dome light on top with a 60 watt bulb, and then if you have a screen cover, seal the remainder of the screen with plastic or 2 inch packing tape to help with maintaining humidity, and also heat. With this big a cage use a hide at each end. Temp gradient of about 80-90F is good. Turn the dome light off at night but leave the UTH on 24 hours. This should work better for you. Note that many UTH are frquently well over 90F and you may need a rheostat to control the temp. SJM | ||
