My son wanted to start keeping herps, actually what he really wants is a red eared slider turtle, but I told him he'd have to start smaller. We purchased 2 FBT from (and don't yell at me) Petco for $4 each. If he keeps them alive for a year (which will be in August) I told him we'd more seriously consider the turtle. We've bought books and printed all sorts of info on the turtle from the internet, and by August we might be ready, but I'm still trying to talk him into staying "smaller"
