I've heard plenty of PetCo horror stories, had one of my own, so your experience is nothing.
Face it, PetCo and most other Chain-Pet stores are full of idiots, There are rare occasions that someone works there with knowledge of reptiles, but it's rare.
When I went to buy my first reptile, a ball python. I didn't know about PetCo being bad. I went there and checked out their balls which looked healthy to me, just in the thin side. I bought one I liked and brought it home. I left her/him in it's cage and let it be. The next day after school I ran home to check on it, make sure it was okay and see how my little baby was doing. There it was, lying in the cage dead. Not even 24 hours after buying it.
It was evidently already sick and the stress of moving to a new place must have been the last drop before the water spilled over the edge, so to speak I will never give any PetCo my business again. The FUNNY thing about it is, before I even bought it I was talking the lady who worked the reptile section. She told me to feed it CRICKETS.I was like.. wtf? Crickets???!!!! That is a total IDIOT.
I got my money back and went to a privetly owned pet store and bought a ball python. That ball is still alive and with me now
PetCo is evil. ----- Randilyn -;,-
