I remember reading a quote that if the age of the Earth from its birth till present was viewed as being an hour long, humans only feature in the last couple of seconds. Puts things into persepctive! I agree it's very important to look as far ahead as possible when thinking about ecology, conservation and sustainability of the earth's resources. Of course, the further you look ahead, the harder it is to predict! But that shouldn't stop us trying. I'm training to be a primary teacher. I reckon it's impt for kids to be able to see micro AND macro environmental issues, and to learn where they fit in and how they can make a difference. That's if we leave them enough of the environment to ponder on in the future! Good luck with your studies (and sorry for sidetracking from herps a little...) | ||
