What do these terms mean?

'chondro'

Another name for a green tree python is 'chondro' python and that is shortened simply to 'chondro' by a lot of people.



'wamena'

Wamena is a town in Irian Jaya that is situated in the Baliem Valley. The chondros that are from that area have a specific look to them, dark green, nice blue highlights, and some white flecking. So the term Wamena refers to a locality of chondro python.



'mite phase'

Mite phase is a certain look a chondro has when black flecking appear in the pattern of the snake. Some look like they have 'mites' crawling all over them hence the term 'mite phase'.

Anything captive bred and born is usually in high demand but talking to the breeders will help you a bit more.



Make sure to be very careful of who you deal with because there are people out there that will rip you off and not have a second thought about it.
