The male should be kept in with the female for a number of reasons--one is that if the cage is also HIS territory, and he's the sole male breeding with the female, he will not harm the offspring. If he's not kept with her, he may be uncertain of the parentage of the babies she has, and try to kill them if you put him in when she has a litter. It's best just to keep him in. | ||
