AP cages are very heavy, suggesting that the HDPE they use is quite dense. Not the ideal situation for heat to have to pass through.



Even then, the temperature of your room and the amount and placement of the ventilation on the cage will greatly effect the effectiveness of the heat pads.



There are ways to use these pads inside of cages. I have never tried it, though, so I don't feel comfortable trying to remember what other people have written.
