I am going to China to work with peach farmers for a week and a half next month. I will be photographing any herps I see as well. The area I will be is outside of Beijing, and I'd like to find info on species I might be likely to see. I've searched the web and can only find info on what snakes are eaten. Additionally, if I find a young pair of mandarin rat snakes, and can do it legally and for reasonable cost, I'd like to bring a pair back to the US with me. But I can't find any info on the web on where to inquire for permits. Does any one know where I might find info on permits? And, if you know, what is it likely to cost me?
