I have no carpentry skills, im only 15, and all i used was a jig saw, screw driver, dremel tool, hammer, tape measure. Really i think any one could do it. I figured the cost out roughly to a total of around 65 and some change. I used 3/4 inch ply wood at around $30 a sheet if you make the cage a few inches smaller you can get two cages out of that. as for the comparrison two glass tank its really a matter of taste i think a cage like this looks good anywhere in the house where as a glass tank may not. heres the run down on the price its all rough ill get an acual price on the next cage.
