I used to use the larger strand stuff but had problems with it molding to quickly. If it gets moldy the spores can get into the snakes lung and create problems. I switched to cypress mulch a few years ago. I put a lid on a hide box and place it on a heater. Wet it down and it works great. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the moss it just needed switched too often for my liking. | ||
