In the wild, animals exposed to high amounts of UVB lighting can contain insane D3 levels as compared to captives and make the most out of their calcium (tests have shown that wild iguanas for example have I believe as much as 6 times the amount). However, it is very well known that overdosing with actual D3 vitamin will cause problems in your pet. The reason for this I believe is that there is a step before the actual D3 production that most people dont know about. If you read into this topic thoughrouly you will see that its not as easy as adding D3 to the diet. Overall, I believe that UVB calcium some D3 works best. [ Hide Replies ]
