They can lay two clutches from one mating, so she may be gravid if you can feel eggs.

You could try mating her again anyway, but you might have trouble getting a male "interested" this late in the season. Can't hurt to try (I did once have an odd clutch appear one December).

Either way, double clutching doesn't seem to be related to how much a female is fed; either she will double-clutch or she won't. If she's a single-clutcher, then extra food won't prompt her to go for a second clutch.
