hiya,

yep, it happens, and yep it can cause problems if you dont help your snake out. the skin will eventually begin to restrict blood flow if it is not removed, which can lead to the loss of the tip of the tail.

either soak it in luke warm water then gently rub with a soft towel, or put the snake in with some damp spagnum moss for a while, which should moisten it up so that either you or the snake can remove it. the first is probably the easiest way.
