My mali was doing this and Rocky once as well. It' not necessarirly the start of MBD, but it is a calcium deficiency. The twitching of the leg muscles is a sure sign. Get him, to a vet so they can give them a shot of the calcium and needed nutrients. It will clear up before a 24 hour time. I no longer have the information that detailed what my vet gave my uros, but I'm sure a knowledgable herp vet will know exactly what to do. Then, make sure you keep them on some kind of regular feedings of calcium and vitamins to help avoid this in the future. Good luck.
