The sugar water thing does work for I have used it many of times with imported Chondros. However I tried something else a while back and it worked much better. Its not a long shot, and some of you may think its crazy, but Preperation H works even better. Depending on the severity of the prolapse, it may be way too far long to use any of these methods. If the tissue is very dark and looking dried out or even rotting, the best bet is to take it to a vet. The damage may be long term and require a surgical proceedure to correct the problem. Sometimes it has to be put back in manually and then the cloaca stitched for up to a week. No feedings are to be attempted. I have used the Preperation H on many different species even Monitor lizards and some Northern Emeralds. Works every time with no harm to the animal. I have been keeping reptiles for 21 years now and have used many methods of prolapse techniques. Try the stuff, but be sure its not too late.
